The Fil-Can Intercity Golf Association was founded in 2022 by Chris Joaquin of Calgary and Manny Aranez of Winnipeg. Their vision was to create a premier platform for Canadian amateur Filipino golfers to celebrate the game of golf through three days of friendly competition.

Backed by decades of experience organizing major basketball and golf tournaments, the Fil-Can Intercity Golf Tournament is truly one of the first events of its kind in Canada. With 150 members representing eight major cities across the country, the annual tournament gives participants the opportunity to build camaraderie, compete in the growing sport of golf, and, most importantly, form lifelong friendships.

As the Association prepares for its milestone 5th Annual Tournament, Chris and Manny are excited to once again bring together fellow Filipino Canadians for a three-day Ryder Cup-style competition. The commitment and dedication of 150 members have been instrumental in making both the tournament and the organization a success. Salamat!
